WHY JOIN US

The Global Mobilization Network (GMN) is unique in that it is a truly global network focused entirely on mobilizing the whole Church to reach the whole world. We exist as a platform to foster relationship building and ongoing communication, including the sharing of ideas and resources.

You matter: We exist as a neutral platform where the input and expertise of people with disparate views and backgrounds is shared to create the cross-fertilization that sparks insight and innovation. We believe that together we have better ideas, because ideas become better when we collaborate together. We exist to ensure connectedness even as we celebrate our differences. Your contribution is essential. This is your tribe!

We matter: We exist to affirm the call of all types of mission mobilizers and encourage greater cooperation among mobilizers from around the world. Our belief is that only together do we constitute the Body of Christ in the earth and only together do we possess the needed strategy and resources to see the whole Church mobilized to reach the whole world. This is our tribe!

Mission Matters: We exist to provide the continuing development of a theology and praxis of mission mobilization as well as to promote best practices distilled through the input of mobilizers from around the world. The stories, our success as well as our failures, new strategies and new resources for mission mobilization are shared. Our hope is that this “communication and cooperation” will result in mobilizing a global mission force finally capable of finishing the task for God’s glory among all peoples. This is His tribe!

*Connect is a mission focused social networking tool created to be a secure environment where mission collaboration is facilitated. It is our belief that a virtual space dedicated to missions and Great Commission efforts is needed. It is also our belief that this platform be inclusive and inviting to all mission-minded believers around the world. It is our belief that these connections will assist in greater and more effective communication and further collaboration.

Connect is a place to discover and be discovered: including information, contacts and resources. Connect is password protected to insure security and is free for all users. Connect provides space for both private and open groups to form. The GMN had both private and public groups for our members to network, share ideas and resources freely. Through Connect the GMC is able to share media such as photos and video content from GMC. We believe it is essential that our members have the ability to launch forums, create discussions and share resources.

CRITERIA FOR GMN MEMBERSHIP

• Agrees with the Vision, Mission, Core Values and Purpose of GMN.
• Subscribes to the Lausanne Covenant.
• Be willing to pray for GMN and contribute time, energy, expertise and finances to enhance GMN’s efforts.
• Be an advocate for GMN within their ministry organization in addition to networking in their respective geographical region or in their respective interest area.
• Be committed to maintain the unity of the network when sharing one’s spiritual gifts, talents and interests.
• Assumes a servant role which doesn’t stress or push one’s heritage or organization.
• Makes it a priority to participate in GMN’s biennial Global Mobilization Consultation (GMC) and other regional gatherings.
• Be committed to fund all travel, registration fees and other expenses in order to attend GMN gatherings.
• Demonstrates a personal and organizational openness to consider time and financial involvement in projects of interest.
• Be willing to have a Statement of Endorsement/Recommendation sent from someone in GMN or known to GMN for membership approval.
• Agrees to contribute by making an annual donation to GMN.
  • GMN is a membership organization which relies on donations to fund activities. GMN operates by free-will giving. We operate by faith on the generosity of its members. A suggested amount is $100 USD per year for an Individual member and $250 USD per year for a Ministry Organization. If these amounts are not possible for you right now, please contribute what you can. This is a guide only – if you can afford more please donate more. It is not our intent that financial contribution be a barrier for participation in GMN. We want you to join the network and look forward to connecting with you.

APPLICATION PROCESS FOR GMN MEMBERSHIP

• An individual or a ministry organization can apply for membership in GMN by filling out an online application.
• When the duly filled GMN Membership Application Form is received, it is circulated among the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
• When approved by the ELT a Letter of Acknowledgment of Membership will be sent electronically to the individual or the representative of the ministry organization.
• Members are able to pay for two years at a time to reduce administrative and bank charges.
• The individual or representative of a ministry organization will be placed on all GMN lists in order to receive related communications.
